Our product range includes switching and measuring sensors, identification systems, data transmission and image processing solutions, and machine safety components and systems.

The focus of our work is in the areas of intralogistics, packaging, machine tools, automotive, and laboratory automation.

Leuze was founded in 1963, headquartered in Owen/Teck in Southern Germany. Today, we are more than 1,200 Sensor People around the world working with a great deal of experience and dedication to ensure the lasting success of our customers in a changing industry – be it in the technological competence centers or in one of the 20 sales companies supported by more than 40 international distributors.

Progress means change

More than 50 years of experience made Leuze a real expert in innovative and efficient sensor solutions for industrial automation. Digitization, changes in international markets and economic uncertainty increasingly demand a high degree of flexibility from companies. Systems and processes must be adapted to changing times.

At Leuze, all areas of the company are oriented toward a proactive differentiation and focusing policy. Always with the goal of continued, steady growth. With this in mind, we have also rigorously, clearly and consistently aligned our corporate communication, both external and internal, to our corporate strategy and sharpened the Leuze brand.

Innovation history

  • 1963

    Our innovation history began in 1963 in the factory section of the weaving mill Leuze textil.

    There the “cono-pack”, the first electro-mechanical packaging machine, was developed.

Our new brand appearance

Our new brand appearance reflects our personality and is an expression of our new positioning.

The transformation begins with our name. Our future name will be short, to the point and easy to remember: Leuze electronic becomes Leuze. As a result of this change, we have modernized and simplified our logo in order to emphasize our individuality.

Our brand appearance has been completely overhauled to enable more flexibility on the one hand and better focusing on the other. The Sensor People will remain an important part of our communication and will continue to exist as a slogan.

Info and contact

The brand appearance will be updated in stages. Its debut will be at the LogiMAT 2020 in March. The process will not affect our day-to-day operations. All trading information and contacts will remain unchanged.
